What’s actually moving demand
Summer heat still books the calendar. What’s different in 2026 is the spec conversation arriving with the customer:
- Non-metallic ceramic as the default “won’t kill my antenna / cameras” answer
- Premiumization—buyers skipping mid-tier and going top ceramic first
- ADAS-aware installs around forward cameras, rain sensors, and HUD glass
- Quiet growth in residential film where utility rebates / efficiency credits improve payback math
Field rules for the next 30 days
1) Lead with IR performance + signal safety
“Darker” is a weak pitch. “Keeps cabin cooler without metalized interference” closes EVs and modern ADAS cars.
2) Photograph camera / sensor zones before and after
If you can’t show your process, you’re inviting chargebacks. Document exclusion zones and film edges around modules.
3) Stop selling upgrades as an afterthought
If your close rate on top ceramic is rising, rewrite packages so the premium tier is the recommended line—not the upsell apology.
4) Train the front desk on legality by state
Summer brings out-of-state drivers and “how dark can I go?” calls. A one-page legality card saves estimator time.

Heat still sells tint. Competence around EV + ADAS is what protects your reviews and warranty reputation while the bay is slammed.
